Pacha to Portugal

It’s time to get serious about getting to the Worlds!

Qualifying for the Australian team going to Portugal in September for the ISA World Junior surf titles is a dream come true – and now I have to make sure I get there!

As you can see from this ‘Go Fund Me’ page, I’m trying to raise half of the money for the trip myself -working, busking and begging from my kind and generous sponsors! (Including family members – even my little brother said he will give me some of his busking money – amazing!!). The Azores Islands are in the middle of the Atlantic ocean just about as far away as you can get from Australia, so I really want to make it worthwhile. I’m even planning to extend my time overseas to stay in France for a month with our friends from the Hossegor Boardriders club, Lou Surfou.

But, apart from fundraising, the most important thing is working out a training and preparation plan for the next 6 months to bring my surfing to that next level – I know it will take everything I’ve got to have a chance at clinching a junior world title!

I’ve grown up surrounded by a way of thinking that says: if you really want something, do the work and find a way, don’t wait for it to come to you, don’t expect the world to give it to you and always appreciate all the help you are given along the way.

In making this 6 month plan, I realise there are many things in place already; sponsors who help me with equipment, nutrition, gym, surf coaching and muscle memory training and the best clothes, bikinis and wetsuits! I live a few minutes from some of the best surf breaks in the world. I have surf buddies who both push me and make it all so much fun. And I have a family who love me unconditionally and support me in whatever way they can.

Financially, its always been tough but I’m working hard and if you can help me get there, its greatly appreciated and every cent counts, thank you so much!
